Viktoriya Fedorchak is a specialist in the security and defense sector, with a particular focus on European and Nordic security as well as lessons learned from the war in Ukraine. Viktoriya has an interdisciplinary academic background with degrees in International Relations, European Foreign Policy, and Crisis Management, followed by a PhD in Strategic Studies in the UK. Over the past 15 years, she has taught courses in Air Power, Security and Strategic Studies, International Relations, and European Studies in Sweden, Norway, Ireland, the UK, and Ukraine.
For the last four years, Viktoriya has served as a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) and Docent in War Studies at the Swedish Defence University. During this time, she has delivered more than 40 talks and presentations across Europe, NATO, and the Nordics, focusing on topics such as the Russia–Ukraine war, resilient fighting power, total defense, innovation, logistics, and civil-military relations.
She has also organized and hosted numerous national and international seminars, workshops, and conferences, chaired panels, and participated as a guest speaker. Through various frameworks, she has collaborated with military, civil, and private sector actors in Swedish, Nordic, and Ukrainian contexts.
